I have clear and fond recollections of several of the "Love Is" comics taped to my father's desk. As a youngster I thought the un-clothed cupie doll type characters were something of an oddity. But despite lacking a real understanding and appreciation for these comics, i did recognize a degree of tenderness there and I like pulling out the writing surfaces on that desk to find something loving.
After a few years of gaining insight into life, I appreciate the sentiments much more and how they illumnate the little yet signficant things.
