Facing the World

Last Saturday on my drive to La'ie as I came off of Kahekili Hwy onto Kam Hwy, I picked up a white Jetta TDI powered by bio-diesel. Seeing that in itself makes me smile, but the real treat was the passenger... a brown lab with its head out the window, ears and lips flapping in the wind, taking in the scenery as wind rushed by, and loving every minute of it! I love dogs. And that is all part of why... oh so happy and content to sit next to you and keep you company on your long trek, and that they truly know the joys of the wind in the face feeling and it will entertain them the whole way. Good luck finding a kid who will sit happy and content in a car that long and be so easily amused. It really really made me smile to have that pooch as my view for longest stretch of my journey that day. I am generally a windows down person anyways, but that day I was inspired to do a little wind surfing with my hand out the window. I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about, have done it... and liked it.

Wait a minute, did you just buy a car and get yourself a dog? Tight-lippedness at its finest we think. We love the blog, why did we not know about this?

I think I need a definition of picked up. Will clarified for me and he says you were just following a white Jetta with a Lab hanging out the window.
